I am a registered architect with over 25 years of residential experience.

I grew up in rural Kentucky and got my Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky, winning the American Institute of Architects Medal for Academic Excellence in 1998. During college, I spent a semester in Boston and fell in love with New England, so after graduating I moved to Massachusetts and have been here ever since.

My first experience with residential design was with Handlin Garrahan and Associates, where I had the great fortune to be mentored by architects who had extensive experience in the New England vernacular as well as wood frame construction and detailing. After more than ten years with Handlin Garrahan and Associates, working on a variety of high-end homes as well as other types of housing and institutional projects, I started my own residential practice. I work both with homeowners looking for architectural services as well as other architects and interior designers as a consultant.

Ever since I moved to Massachusetts I have been fascinated by the beautiful old houses here and the way they tell the story of how people lived throughout previous generations. We invest so much time, money and energy in our homes they should be a reflection of our own stories: our values, needs and priorities. I’ll listen to your story and try to make your home function in a way that best suits your lifestyle. Whether you are starting from scratch and need a complete home design, or if you simply would like your kitchen to function better, need additional space or want to make sure you can age-in-place in the home you love, I can help you achieve your goals.
